Committees and teams
This page lists Rubin-related committees and teams that represent, or interact with, scientists.
Science Advisory Committee (SAC)
The SAC is composed of members of the Rubin science community and provides a formal, two-way connection between Rubin Observatory and its science community.
Survey Cadence Optimization Committee (SCOC)
The SCOC is composed of members of the Rubin science community, and provides recommendations to the Rubin Observatory Operations Director regarding the parameters of the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST).
Users Committee (UC)
The Rubin UC is composed of members of the Rubin science community, and is charged with soliciting feedback from the science community and recommending science-driven improvements to the LSST data products and the Rubin Science Platform tools and services.
Community Science Team (CST)
The CST is composed of Rubin staff members, and is responsible for supporting the community to maximize scientific productivity and excellence in their use of the Rubin data products and services.
Research Inclusion Group
The RI group is composed of Rubin staff and members of the science community who work together to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the Rubin community.
Project Science Team (PST)
The PST is composed of Rubin staff from the Construction Project and provides required scientific input on critical technical decisions as construction proceeds.
