Data products, pipelines, and services

All of the LSST data are processed, calibrated, and made available as science-ready images, catalogs and alerts. Scientists access these data products via the Rubin Science Platform, Independent Data Access Centers (IDACs), and alert brokers, which also offer next-to-the-data analysis tools and computational resources.

The capability to download, reduce, or calibrate data is not needed to do science with the LSST.

Data releases

A limited set of LSST-like simulated data are available now.

Alerts and brokers

During the night, alerts containing data for time-variable sources are streamed to brokers.
