Recent data releases
Simulated LSST-like data are now available as part of the Early Science Program.
Data Preview 0
Data Preview 0 (DP0) makes a limited amount of simulated, LSST-like data products available.
DP0.3
Catalogs of simulated full-area detections and derived orbital parameters for known and predicted populations of moving objects, at year one and year ten of the LSST.
- orbital parameters derived from the Minor Planets Center
- linked detections and phase curve fits per object
- astrometric and photometric measurements in difference images
- source locations and velocities at the time of each observation
Credit: The DP0.3 data set was generated by members of the Rubin Solar System Pipelines and Commissioning teams, with help from the LSST Solar System Science Collaboration, in particular: Pedro Bernardinelli, Jake Kurlander, Joachim Moeyens, Samuel Cornwall, Ari Heinze, Steph Merritt, Lynne Jones, Siegfried Eggl, Meg Schwamb, Grigori Fedorets, and Mario Juric.

DP0.2
Images and catalogs of simulated stars and galaxies (with large scale structure) covering 300 square degrees over five years, with an early baseline LSST strategy.
- direct, difference, and deeply-coadded images, all fully calibrated
- catalogs of astrometric and photometric measurements, including forced photometry
- light curves for variable stars and Type Ia supernovae
- survey property maps
Credit: The DP0.2 data set is based on images generated by the Dark Energy Science Collaboration (DESC) for their Data Challenge 2 (DC2).

DP0.1 (deprecated)
DP0.1 was an earlier version of DP0.2, and is now deprecated.
