First Rubin Observatory Classroom Investigation Makes its Debut
It's the moment high school and college astronomy educators have been waiting for: the Rubin Observatory Education and Public Outreach team has released its first classroom investigation, titled, Surveying the Solar System. Now, educators who teach astronomy to students in advanced middle-school to college have access to an engaging new activity that encourages their students to interact with real astronomical data. But there's more—in addition to the investigation itself, Rubin provides teachers with all the support materials they need to quickly and easily integrate this investigation with their existing lesson plans. The best part is that all Rubin education materials are absolutely free, and only require an internet connection and a browser to access.
Surveying the Solar System is the first in a suite of investigations that Rubin Observatory will roll out over the coming years. Learn more about the education resources we provide in the education section of our website.
