User-contributed resources
It is anticipated that users will develop tools, services, and derived data products that they want to share widely for the benefit of the broader Rubin community.
Host platforms
These might be hosted on institutional servers or on platforms such as GitHub, and some might be made available via Independent Data Access Centers (IDACs).
In cases where these user-generated software or datasets cannot be hosted by their developers, or have a general usefulness and scientific impact to the Rubin science community, they might be hosted within the Rubin Science Platform.
Guidelines for the eligibility and approval process are described in Rubin Tech Note 105, "Contributing capabilities to the Rubin Science Platform" (link below).

How to share contributions outside the RSP
- Publish a journal article to demonstrate the utility of the software or dataset.
- Advertise it in the "Science - Announcements" category of the Rubin Community Forum.
- Volunteer to give a talk in a Rubin Science Assembly.
